Driving Directions
Talihina can be found traveling north or south from U.S. Highway 259. Travel west from Big Cedar, Oklahoma off of U.S. Highway 259 – 27 miles until you reach U.S. Highway 271 and you will be in Talihina, Oklahoma.
Travel south on U.S. Highway 271 from Poteau, Oklahoma and you will drive into the town of Talihina. Travel south on State Highway 2 from Wilburton, Oklahoma, at Buffalo Valley turn east on State Highway 1 until you reach Talihina. Travel south on State Highway 1 from McAlester, Oklahoma. Travel north on State Highway 2 from Antlers, Oklahoma.

Travel south four miles on U.S. Highway 271, as the highway bends to the west, turn on the Honobia/Bethel Highway also known as “Indian Trail” or 440th Ave. Stay on this road over the most northern ridge of the Kiamichi Mountains until you reach Honobia, America on Oklahoma’s Bigfoot Mountain.
Don’t forget to stop on your way at Talihina and get supplies and anything else you need for the festival.
